January 2026 Lunch & Learn

Unwanted, unspoken, and common — working with perinatal intrusive thoughts through IFS.

Starts Jan 13, 2027Zoom

Available spots

Service Description

Many perinatal clients experience intrusive, ego-dystonic thoughts — often involving harm coming to their baby — accompanied by intense distress and fear of disclosure. Clients frequently believe these thoughts mean something is deeply wrong with them, and many stay silent for years. This session offers clinicians a clearer framework for understanding intrusive thoughts clinically, while exploring how IFS supports the internal work involved: the protective parts generating hypervigilance, the parts responding with panic or avoidance, and the exiled fear underneath. Attendees will leave better equipped to hold this topic with clarity, less fear, and more compassion.
