Our Mission

​​​​IFS Pathways for Perinatal Providers Training and Development is committed to advancing lifelong learning for perinatal professionals through specialized continuing education rooted in the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model. Our mission is to support providers in deepening their clinical skills, expanding their self-awareness, and fostering resilience by offering accessible, high-quality training. We strive to transform perinatal care by nurturing providers who can skillfully hold space for both their clients and their own inner systems.

Founder and Facilitator

Kelley Hassanpour, RN, MScN

Kelley Hassanpour (she/her) is a Registered Nurse, Psychotherapist who discovered Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy through her own perinatal healing journey. This personal experience deeply informs her work and fuels her passion for supporting clients during the profound transition to parenthood.

Kelley believes that IFS is uniquely suited to perinatal therapy, offering a compassionate and effective framework to navigate the emotional complexity that often arises during pregnancy, birth, and early parenting. She trusts in the healing power of IFS to help individuals reconnect with their inner wisdom and foster lasting transformation.

Kelley has completed advanced training through the IFS Counselling Association (IFSCA), including both the Stepping Stones and Stepping Deeper programs as well as Life Architect’s The Others Within Us: Unattached Burdens and Guides in IFS Therapy with Bob Falconer. Her approach is warm, grounded, and deeply attuned to the needs of each client's internal system as they move through this transformative life stage.

Kelley is an Autistic mom, living in a Neurodiverse home with her partner, child and chocolate lab Charlie. 

Kelley works with clients in Ontario, Nova Scotia, Quebec, Newfoundland and Alberta.

Founder and Facilitator

Christine Cunningham, RSSW, CC- PMH

Christine Cunningham (she/her) is a Registered Social Service Worker and Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional in private practice.

She has lived experience with postpartum depression and anxiety and her experience with recovering from those perinatal mental health issues changed her life for the better. After working in community mental health and addictions, she followed her heart to working with clients in the Perinatal period in private practice. And this led her to taking the IFS Institute Level 1 training. Christine finds that parts work helps her to connect with her perinatal clients on a deeper level and she has witnessed many parts being healed through this work. 

Christine has also attended advanced IFS trainings includin Life Architect’s The Others Within Us: Unattached Burdens and Guides in IFS Therapy with Bob Falconer and Integrating IFS into supervision and consultation.

Christine is an AuDHD mom to 3 neurodivergent kids and 2 dogs. Christine uses IFS to help connect to her self in order to support all of her parts in a curious and compassionate way. 

Christine works with clients in Ontario and can supervise counsellors and psychotherapists in other provinces depending on the province's regulations.
