December Lunch & Learn
The anger no one warns you about — understanding perinatal rage through IFS.
Available spots
Service Description
Perinatal rage tends to catch clients and clinicians off guard — sudden irritability, explosive anger, or intensity that feels out of proportion, often followed by shame and fear that something is wrong with them as a parent. This session explores perinatal rage as a protective part guarding exhaustion, grief, fear, or a loss of autonomy with nowhere else to go. We'll discuss the nervous system dimension of rage, how sleep deprivation and hormonal shifts lower activation thresholds, and how clinicians can help clients build curiosity and Self-energy toward this intense, often misunderstood emotion.
